I collect mostly WWII, but I'm definitely getting a copy of this one. IMHO the Sea Fury was one of the most beautiful piston-engine fighters ever built. (By the way, it was originally conceived as an opponent of the Fw 190, but didn't make it in time. It is claimed by some that it shot down MiG-15s in Korea, but some dispute that.)

So if it was created to kill Focke-Wulfs and tested and flown in the winter of 44-spring of 45 I say it counts as a WWII plane. I want one no matter.

Actually I think wmosner was trying to say he was going to "pass"....For some reason I'm able to say "ass" all I want, while there seem to be others who can't even have that series of letters appear in any of their words...Have I received some kind of special dispensation or something?

The Admin obviously heard about your limited vocabulary and unlimited girth and stench.

Vietnam ?!

I could have sworn I have seen some photo's of SF's in SE asian (vietnam) service... Anybody have a thought on that?

I don't think so... Are you sure these were not photos of former French Bearcat in VAF service ?

Re: The Witty Sea Fury is here!!

I've been examining the photos but have difficulty seeing fine detail. They pictures are great but how do the panel lines and so forth stand out?

Also what liveries are available? I see the FAA well represented and a Dutch example. What about other operators?

I've seen a couple flying here, one in FAA colours (I think, unless commonweath birds flew in similar colours) and another in a smart dark blue Australian scheme (of a display team of sorts)

You lucky boy! It looks as if Witty got the cockpit right for a change.
