Cool Re: Tornado by Witty ???

I've just checked Jumblies and the second release is due out at the end of November, so hopefully the first release will be before then.
Picture below is of the second F3. Both around the £26 mark & after you take off the 17.5% VAT for us colonials that's not too bad I guess

Take it out and play with it

Re: Tornado by Witty ???

Thanks 11SQNLDR. 26 quid??? Time to set aside some dough for this. I hope it will be available slightly cheaper over here in the Far East.

Thanks for the update, 11SQNLDR. This is one diecast I can't wait to get a hold of, and I hope Witty will not disappoint.

Re: Tornado by Witty ???

A pic of the pre-pro that has appeared shows that it's based on the Hasegawa kit which isn't great news as for as start the tail is the wrong shape at the top, easy to correct on a plastic kit but on diecast forget it.

Darn, that's very dissappointing indeed. I just happen to be glancing at my HASEGAWA kit catalog of their 72nd Tornado F mk.3 model and it does appear that the shape of the tail is incorrect on the model.

Re: Tornado by Witty ???

BOTH of the first two are similar, black-tailed short-lived special schemes? Yeesh. Very disappointing for me. (I like Tornados, especially the fighter version).

PS---expect them to actually be half F.2 and half F.3, as that's what the Hase kit is. (everyone act real surprised that the model's a perfect copy of the Hase kit with no corrections made, and not carefully researched to fix the flaws that have been known for years)

PPS--of course those are the schemes we're going to get, as Witty (even more so than most diecast companies) copies kit markings/decals as well. And that's mostly what Hase's released lately. I don't know if Hase ever released a "normal" Tornado F3 without gaudy markings. Witty would have to do their own research or buy a set of aftermarket decals to get info for a typical Tornado...

Oh dear, this sounds like Witty are going to copy the infamous Corgi 'anniversary scheme' syndrome Standard liveries please!
