Pics of Witty IDF F-15

Not quite sure why, but this Eagle in IDF markings really appeals to me. Here are a few quick pics...

Yes I agreed, the WW F15 series makes everybody feel satisfy, especially the IF version. I will waiting the Fuji mount version.

Thumbs up Re: Pics of Witty IDF F-15

Thanks for the pics Old Crow, is this the recently released scheme? My first IDF F-15D turned up this week, the first released 2 seater.
I really hope HM or someone does a nice Israeli F-4 to compliment the A-4, F-15 & F-16

Take it out and play with it

Well, not everybody. I have yet to buy any Witty F-15s becuase of the ludicrous canopy shape issues (two-seater) and spine shape issues (single-seater).

I can put up with some overall shape discrepancies in a diecast model, but this goes too far for me. Too bad, because I'd love to have a decent Israeli F-15 (I have a Witty Israeli F-16 which I like very much).

Re: Pics of Witty IDF F-15

Despite my initial resistance due to the incorrect shape issues, I could not resist them when I saw them on offer in a local store. Bought one of each of the single and two-seater and displayed them with the canopy open as it makes the errors less obvious.

Re: Pics of Witty IDF F-15

Any IDF birds always appeals to me in more ways than one. I got my two-tone grey Israeli Airforce F-15D recently and it's quite a nice looking predator in grey, but I always
prefer the desert camo first and foremost. Btw, thanks for the pictures.

Right what I wanted to say...Their twin seat cockpit is outlandish and people should have at least a basic knowledge of what models they're paying for.
The single seat canopy is barely acceptable. I think this is a problem common to ALL Witty cockpits, the clear plastic moulding is just BAD.
Best F-15 out there? no way...Dragon is quite decent, beats Witty single handed in both twin and single seat cockpit canopy shape, but of course David Hintgen will be able to point out some historic and technical innacuracies!
Now: NOBODY makes a decent "E", not 1/72, not 1/48...there are some 1/144 Japanese toys with the right details, but the diecasts are ALL missing the CFT hardpoints, and a CFT+darker grey paint simply does not make any Eagle a Strike Eeagle! I still am waiting for a decent diecast.
