Re: My latest acquisition

This is how it looks like before assembly.I've still got another six to finish. Will post some pics once they are assembled.

That looks pretty neat. Nice to see a Ki.44 Shoki, would like to see that one done in diecast. I noticed awhile back that Hobby Lobby started carring a series of 1/100th scale prepainted kits, wonder if there may be some connection.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: My latest acquisition

These are the remaining six. I'd wish HM would do more "rare" planes like these. That will be very interesting !!!

The Yokosuka P1Y Ginga (Frances) would be one that would be high on my want list. Kind of doubt it would ever get made, but I like the looks of the Q1W Tokai. It is a really unique looking aircraft.

Yup that's one hell of a unique plane ( anti submarine ?? ) That's what i thought too. Don't know whether these would ever be made.I think these planes would be a sellout !! Just wish we collectors have some say in their decision making.....

I remember a time period when plastic kits were fairly limited too. Things sure changed in the late 80s and early 90s with regards to some of the more obsure aircraft being made. Hoping something similar will happen with diecast. The Q1W Tokai is a neat one, I wonder it was the first true anti submarine aircraft produced from the ground up?

Re: My latest acquisition

Just so I don't hijack this thread, I posted some picks of some of my 1/100 Doyusha aircraft outside on the Aircraft Models forum. I Liked their new IJA series with the crew figures, and the Zeroes that had crew figures too.
