Jolly Rogers X-Mas F-14

Overall how are the Witty F-14s? I kinda like the tails on this one if for no other reason than they are pretty darn funny for the holiday.

Re: Jolly Rogers X-Mas F-14

Generally, they are painted totally wrong, have the canopy of an F-15, the wrong engines, wrong fuselage fairings, wrong engine shrouds, wrong cockpit, no gun vents (as opposed to the wrong gun vents), wrong chin pod.

The ONLY Tomcat is a CW Tomcat.

Not all of the chin pods are wrong however that still does not save the mess which is the Witty F-14.

I have the Witty "Top Gun" Tomcat because I love the camo, I collect aggressor aircraft, and found it to be one of the most accurate versions still that’s not saying a lot.

Re: Jolly Rogers X-Mas F-14

The Witty F-14 is not perfect nor is 99.9% of the rest of the stuff out there, If you like it buy it, lifes too short for all this diecast forum nit picking.
After all it's just a mass produced plastic & metal toy for grown ups, if you want something 100% true to life than go have a pro model builder build you one for hundreds of dollars.
Otherwise buy what you like & be happy, you cant go wrong doing that.

Sorry - regarding accuracy - I've been spoiled rotten by Century Wings, Gemini Aces, Eagles International, Carousel 1, and Hobby Master!
