If you'd like, I could post some F100 nozzle pics, including F-16's, and get your opinion on them. While none are as "ALL white" as a fresh -229 engine, they look (IMHO) to have enough white that it's inherent to the nozzle. (I have read an explanation once that many nozzles that show white only do so because the white is an accumulation of deposits from jet fuel-----unless it's one of the actual ceramic-lined nozzles---never heard of fuel causing white though)

Could be a retrofit thing-----F-18's have two different nozzles for the original engine, which is missed by a lot of people.

This is getting so technical...but seriously, I even saw pictures of Indian Sukhoi jets with very lightly-colored jet exhaust inner walls...I have that picture somewhere in a magazine and cannot find it at this very moment.
