not so picky and love my Witty Wings

I must not be in the same league as many on here. I just got today, my new order of older Witty Wings and I am very very happy with my purchases, these planes look great to me and are well put together. For the money they are hard to beat. See below for my newest haul.

F-16 Cripes A Mighty Paid $17.50
P-51 Korean War Paid $10.00
F-15 Eglins Gorillas Paid $19.00

Shipping for all three $11.35

Overall a great deal for three good looking planes, now I know there are apparent issues as pointed out on here over and over again, but for my money these are descent planes at some super good prices. Heck for the price of one CW I could have 4 or more of these.

Just my two cents, Biggie

Good to hear you're happy with your purchases Biggie - that's all that counts in the long run ('technical' flaws on some diecast are usually not noticeable by the vast majority and we should always remember that models are only representations of reality and can never be 100% perfect).

Witty may have some issues with some of their models, but their Zeros are some of the best out on the market today..

I'm quite happy with my Witty Israeli Spitfire and F-16 Barak, especially when you factor in the price!

If you find a line of models you like, go for it! My favorite Wittys are the Zero, Sea Fury, MiG-29, and Fw-190. The Witty Zero is the best being produced today, but my personal favorite Zero mold is the Matchbox. Unfortunately, Matchbox produced only two versions.

Thanks for reminding me Celtic, I forgot about the Sea Fury...I received one for Christmas and it is a little beauty.

Re: not so picky and love my Witty Wings

I must admit, I don't have many Witty Wings models, but I haven't been disappointed with any of the ones I've purchased. I like the Spitfire mold a lot, with the only drawback in my eyes being the crappy pilot and his placement. Even remedying that was a fun little project.

Re: not so picky and love my Witty Wings

There is certainly something to be said to having a less critical eye when it comes to diecast. I am personally not a rivet counter. When I acquire an airplane, say a P 51, to me, it looks like a P 51......even Corgi's 1:72 scale.....sorry Skunky!

That said, I do, however, pay attention to the discussions here on how accurate various models are, and they do have an effect on my buying. Just don't get really caught up in it. If something looks good to ME is what is important.
