Re: Any improvement on the MiG-29UB?

Just received the Witty MiG 29UBs and guess what....they DO NOT have the chaffe/flare dispensers. My review: "I like it!" Below are some pics...

Well now, that's even better! I'm down for one! Thanks for the pics!

Re: Any improvement on the MiG-29UB?

Seeing the two MiG-29's listed on the Witty web page, it does appear they retained the extensions on the fins. Since this is an obvious error, it seems strange to collectors that they did this. However, I don't think Witty is catering to collectors, but rather to mass retailers, where mistaken fin extensions just aren't important. (Did Witty ever correct the pilot location in their Spits?) I have 18 Witty's, all props, and enjoy them all (except for the troll-like pilots), but just can't believe the company is trying to compete with the likes of HM, Corgi, or Gemini. Apparently they have their own marketing strategy, and it seems to be working, since they don't seem to have any problem turning out (and selling) huge numbers of models.

WOW! Nice pics, and thank you for the excellent info. My apologies to Witty for my previous input...glad I was wrong!

Someone at Witty has, apparently, been paying attention. I was quite surprised when I saw it did not have the dispensers. Removing them must have been a last-minute thing. Hopefully, they'll release some more UBs with active service paint schemes.

Not bad at all, and I may get this one. However, I'm not sure about the inboard missiles (AA-10 Alamos) which don't normally belong on the UB, although technically these could be IR-guided variants and could be carried in theory.

Minor point.

I knew that one was coming...

As for the Mig29 it does look pretty good...
Not sure if i'm going to get this one or wait for another scheme to come out.
