Re: FW-190A-8's

The 109s are a different story entirely. The rake of the gear may be a little straight but the rest of it is acceptable. Yellow 6 is a fine model as are a few of the others.

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!

Re: FW-190A-8's

It's even worse. The main landing gear, which is fixed in the "down" position, isn't even aligned properly. I'm considering shoving aside some of those IXOs cluttering my bin, to make room for this one.

Must be pretty bad if it is heading for the bin.

Normally, I would repaint the plane, using a legit F-8 camouflage scheme which allows me to retain the bomb load, racks, etc. However, the panel lines are so thin on this model and detail is so lacking that I wonder if it's worth the effort. Another coat of paint will obscure whatever detail the model had to begin with. I'll give it some more thought, however.

Re: FW-190A-8's

OK. So I changed my mind. Here's Witty's model converted to an over armed FW-190F, flown by a midget pilot---by this time the Luftwaffe was pretty desperate for manpower----on the Eastern Front in 1944.

Nice looking work, and it did not end up in the bin.

Epapazian , you have worked another of your rescue missions on that bird.

It looks a whole lot better now, well done.

God Bless America.
