It's not a bad looking P-38...
I hope the turbo chargers look a little better on Miss V
when they come out.

Re: Witty P-38 "Dragon Tail"

Kinda makes you wonder if Witty didn’t purchase Matchbox’s P-38 mold (and added the struts). The similarities are striking.

It isn't faith that makes good science, Mr. Klaatu, it's curiosity. Sit down, please. There are several thousand questions I'd like to ask you.

Hmmmm - You're right STARMAN, it's does not appear to be that bad. But the Mule has it listed for May release at a price of around $35.00. Corgi's version from the same squadron is due in December for about $5.00 more. I wonder if Witty's P-38 will be better or should I wait for a mold I have already and know what to expect. I have no Witty birds in my collection as everyone I've ever bought (5 attempts) just turned me off to the brand. I can't wait to hear what the word from you guys is on this one. No harm in waiting patiently while some brave soul forges ahead.

Hey Trap,
I'm not going to get this one....I'm waiting for the Corgi one to come out in Dec 2007
I have the other Corgi P-38's so i would like to stick with the same brand for this P-38
set i'm trying to make.

Re: Witty P-38 "Dragon Tail"

For me I would still get the Witty P-38 just to have it included with the rest of my other P-38 moulds from Matchbox, Corgi and FM Armour, if for no other reasons.
Besides, this one don't look too shabby and it still looks sweet! I just wish Witty chose a different variant to make. Oh well....

Re: Witty P-38 "Dragon Tail"

I ordered one of the green and one of the silver Witty P-38, my dealer has a sale on the pre-order for $32.88 and only $7.95 shipping in the USA for both, if you let him ship them together. Good deal I thought.
