Well, label me "pretty much surprised"! It does look really good, especially the turbo chargers and anti-glare panels on the engine nacelles. I still don't like the rocket trees (I'd have to give them the Matchbox treatment and slice them off), the large gaps between the spinners and the nacelles, and that stupid "sparkle" silver paint Witty uses. I'm thinking I may cancel my Corgi Warbirds P-38 and might get this one instead. Something to sleep on.

Update: slept on it - will keep the Corgi pre-order and will skip this one. I still don't like Witty's products no matter how much I try to talk myself into doing so!

Re: Witty P-38 "Dragon Tail"

Looks like they improved the superchargers on Elsie compared to the Dragon. Have to agree the rocket trees are distracting. Wonder if anyone looped a P-38 with that mass under each wing...

Re: Witty P-38 "Elsie"

I just received my first Witty P-38 today and I really like it. Typical muted detailing that's SOP for Witty, but I expected that.
