Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

A word to the wise: If you have an inkling you’d like to buy the Uzbek ‘27, don’t procrastinate. Rumor has it (on good authority, I might add) that availability is going to be ... light. So if you want one, put yer orders in. It should hit the beaches this side of two weeks.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

I have a Gaincorp SU-27. Is the Witty Wings version a totally different mold or do they share the same one? If they are different molds, which one is better?

Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

They are of different mold. I personally prefer the Witty one but will like it even more if the shape of the cockpit/canopy area could be closer to the real plane. Tried to upload a pic I took showing both but somehow could not complete the process. Will try later.

Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

The pic shows the Gaincorp SU-33 (basically same mold as its SU-27 - I have the earlier released bort 25 SU-27) and Witty PLAAF SU-27.

btw, it took me almost a year later to realise one of the SU-33's missile has a missing fin (can be seen in the pic). I simply super-glued with a cut plastic painted flat white with black strip. The lucky thing is the missiles are not as refined as those from Dragon ones so it didn't look obvious.

Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

I still haven't seen the Evil Eye version yet, but I'd be much more interested in that than a weird Uzbek version. Seems a strange choice to me!

Re: Uzbekistan Su-27

There are descriptions of both the shark eye and the Uzbekistan Su-27s in the following website. I went for the Uzbek as the colors are rather unique and it looks great alongside the Ukrainian, Russian and China's flankers.
