Re: Hey!!! My shrink ray worked!!!!!

Considering the scale, these things are very detailed.

It's funny -- take the hand out of the photo and it could pass for a Gaincorp 1:72 at first glance...

It's kind of hit and miss with these series of planes. The Su-37s, from the same manufacturer, were proportionally distorted, not painted as well and didn't have anywhere close to the detail of the Su-27 pictured. In fact, one of the Su-37s has both Russian markings and markings from the Marines VMFT 401 agressor sqn. I guess they made it as a sort of fantasy plane.

Re: Hey!!! My shrink ray worked!!!!!

Yeah, Skunky must have one as well (a shrink ray, that is)!

That's what Jim told me, anyway.

It's made by JWings (J-Wings??) for the Asian market. Models like this are "Trading Figures", which are small scale pre-painted (and mostly assembled) plastic models of vehicles, robots, monsters, etc. They're typically released in a series of 10-12 different models they all come in identical packaging. I think they're sold in Asian supermarkets (overseas) and you don't know which one you've bought until you actually open it. There are several eBay dealers, out of Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan & China, that sell them (they've already been opened, so you know which one your bidding on / buying). Some other companies that make "Trading Figures" are Konami, Takara/Kaiyodo, F-Toys, Furuta and of course JWings.
