The only thing I could find out about an aircraft in similar markings were Unit: ex-9FG Serial: ex-Romainan 31 (W.Nr.66130 [66139 ?]) On 28 August 1944 Romanian pilot Cpt. av. ® Cantacuzino flew this aircraft with American prisoner lt. col. James Gunn III to Italy. Aircraft was left with the American's and after some flights was destroyed.  | |||||||||||||||

| Re: New Captive Eagle The Iraqi Sea Fury is nice looking. However, I think I would prefer a Cuban Sea Fury as shown in the latest issue of Flight Journal magazine. It played a key defensive role in the Bay of Pigs invasion.BTW, notice the monochrome rockets under the wings? Just like those on the RAN Sea Furies, they somewhat detract from the model - IMHO. After discussing this in a previous thread, I did some research (and got some help here) to get the correct color for the ordnance. After painting the rockets (which was not easy as the paint had a problem adhering to the paint on the model) the model looks MUCH better and more realistic. | ||||||||||||||

You betcha!!!  I reckon this is the best looking Sea Fury yet! I've wanted one but not yet committed. This one is a no brainer, just got to get it!  Guess that means I got to have the HB Mig 21 to go with it.  | |||||||||||||||
