Merit distributes all kinds of stuff, including Tamiya and other brands of models. I'm guessing that F-4 is probably not a Witty Wings product. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Whereas the Witty attempts with fixed undercarriage and alien pilots will be soooo much better?

Ya, my thoughts exactly. Witty fixed gear leaves me very luke-warm on their stuff these days - even the Sea Fury. And as hworth points out on the P-38 - rocket trees?....
