Re: A-7?

"Infamous" would probably be a more accurate adjective. I know you weren't being disrespectful Tyler, but I believe it would be in pretty poor taste for anyone to model an aircraft who's only claim to "fame" is that it had engine failure and dropped into an occupied hotel lobby after the pilot safely ejected. What would be next?...a "jetliners of 9/11" series?.

Let's try and forget about that one. There's plenty of other good A-7 schemes out there that wouldn't be such a painful reminder.

For example:

Re: A-7?

If the unit flying the plane was really a F-117 squadron that was secretly trying out the new plane at the time, I wonder if it was really a F-117 that hit the hotel?

The F-117s were definitely not out and about at that time. It's been a while, but there was some utility in having the pilots flying A-7s around in the daytime and in "unsecured" environments. Presumably there was some equivalency in general handling and they may have had some aspects of 117 avionics emulated.

Re: A-7?

Man that story is all new to me. Very interesting. The A-7 is sweet. I hope that they do a Pittsburgh, ANG one.
