Pugachov's Su-27 with an interesting weapon's load

Pictures are almost self-explanatory:

The port side and starboard side have different missiles!!

On pylon#3 there is a R-27T (second picture) while on pylon#8 (first picture) there is a R27ER!! You can see the contrast in the overall shot (3rd picture).

I bought this model yesterday from a local shop in Hong Kong and didn't notice this at first glance...I just realised a few minutes ago and now I am not sure if I should be happy or not about this "unique configuration"

Re: Pugachov's Su-27 with an interesting weapon's load

You won't believe how horrible this can be.
No, I didn't hold on to it and exchanged it. For my great surprise, the new one had a set of problems of its own, hence the pictures to describe it:
You can see that the missile on pylon 7 is broken and unfinished!!! it's broken in two different places too!
In the overall picture, you can see that there are two kinds of "small missiles" attached, the one with three thick black lines and the single one with three thin black lines.

Something is very wrong with the guys glueing missiles at the factory. I am waiting to replace this one too...

The original one? the big underwing missile did not fit properly inside the sandwich box and punched a hole through it, eventually it fell off.

Re: Pugachov's Su-27 with an interesting weapon's load

Has anyone out there got the same problem with the Russian Su-27? It seems really weird because the missiles got all mixed up, some were even unfinished!
First HM, now Witty...I've had too many missile problems lately!

It almost looks like someone replaced those Alamo and Archer missiles with ones from a model kit. Maybe a repair attempt?

Weird!
Exchange it!

Re: Pugachov's Su-27 with an interesting weapon's load

weird, because if it's not clear up to now, I bought one, exchanged it because it had one wrong missile on the wing, then realised the new one had TWO wrong missiles. Now got a third one (returned the defective) and it is fairly well manufactured, missiles are right: except there is a paint brush skid mark on one of the missiles, can be easily fixed if i had my paint here, then the instrumentthe panel is almost touching the face of the pilot...closed the canopy and forgot about it.

excellent attitude and service from witty though.

...or the 86 year old that added the missiles at the end of the assembly line. Guess he put on the small one since his wife had reminded him all their married life that he didn't have a big missile at all....
