Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

why does witty release these models no one wants ?

when u think su-27, do u think a test pilot version or a chinese airforce version? no u think about those nice cold war or modern russian airforce colors

witty u make great stuff, please release the versions most people think when they think of the plane !

There are many Russian liveries to be produced. But you would be surprised how very sold out the Chinese version is in Asia (especially Hong Kong).

A few days ago I saw Viktor Pugachov's "388" personal mount on display at the SOGO in Causeway Bay, tried to lure staff to sell it to me, they apparently did not know that was a non-production model.

Does anyone (Zed) know anything about Russian liveries on the Flanker and if there will be a double seat Su-27ub/ubk or Su-30 (many variants) be released ever? I personally would love to see a Witty Su-33, so we have an alternative to Gaincorp.

Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

think they may have some of the lesser known airforces for future releases.will have to have a word about a basic russian version although there are some nicely marked soviet su27's about.

I can say that it is a different scheme then we are used to seeing.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

Technically this is not a Sukhoi bureau test livery, but rather a Factory Demonstration model. Kнаапо is the primary manufacturer of Su-27 family of aircraft. Kнаапо stands for Komsomolsk on Amur Aircraft Manufacturing Company. The factory is conveniently located near Russian-Chinese border and works three shifts to supply India and China with all the Sukhoiss they can handle.

Here is a Kнаапо site in English: http://www.knaapo.ru/eng/index.wbp

Regards,

Sergey

Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

I wasn't trying to offend S E Asians who might prefer the Chinese version or what not. I was merely stating that Witty should produce the Russian or a version from the Cold War era since that is what most people would think when they think Su-27.

If they wanted to produce a test pilot version or one of every every air force that has used or still uses the Su-27, that would be welcome indeed.

As far as the Sea Flanker ... I'm all for Witty to make them too ... I have the Gaincorp version but an just curious as to what Witty can bring to the table in terms of detail and features.

Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

No offense taken, I am also just trying to make a point here, and that is: Witty does know what products are welcome by the market, and I am sure they are only teasing on the collector community by not releasing a most expected livery after they deliver a new mould.

I would love to see many Russian versions but I guess I will have to wait, and I do believe they will be out sometime. The Russian Knights version will be out there soon right?

Re: Witty Su 27 Russian Test Pilot

I like the Su-27 ok but not that paint scheme.
There are many different paint schemes they can use for the Su-27.
