Question Color of F15

I am interested in buying the F-15C Eagle USAF 48th FW RAF LakenHeath, England. Witty's website just calls it USAF LN AF(WTW-72-005-001).

Here's my question: What color is it? Witty's site makes it looks light and dark grey, however, on Flyingmule.com it looks like it is light grey and blueish green????? This will be my 1st Witty, and I thought I start with an F15.....

Does anyone have any pics that show a good representation of the actual color????

Thanks

Re: Color of F15

You might want to try the Aikens Airplane site. There are about six thumbnails of that particular issue that might help you.

Re: Color of F15

That seems to be my biggest issue with Witty..Most of their gray paint schemes seem to have an unrealistic blue/green hue to them....Is it just the photos?

Re: Color of F15

It's just the photos, you can never judge anything by web photos.
Witty's F-15 paint schemes are dead on, I was able to compare the Eglin model with the real thing & it was 100%.

Re: Color of F15

I was considering a Witty F-15C previously and I think the big plus point is the more accurate and updated color scheme. But I just find the shape of the canopy when viewed from the side for both the Witty F-15C (bulge at the back of the canopy) and F-15D (front windshield portion) is just out from the real thing.

Re: Color of F15

the f15c canopy is fine but the d's windshield is too shallow but i shall notify my contact at witty about this again.i do have a solution though i have a jasdf red c model with a windshield that was not glued correctly so before i glued it back i tried the windshield against a d models main canopy and it looks perfect.dont no why they used a different windshield part when on the real plane only the main canopy is different.

PhantomPhan is right....... relax on the colour - Re; Lakenheath 'C' model,
(operated ONLY by the 493rd F.S. - the 492nd & 494th Fighter Sqdns, operate the 'E' model - Those 3 units (basically) comprise the 48th F.W.

I live within a 45 min drive/ride from the base - Lakenheath - in Suffolk.
My last/most recent ride on my 900 Honda was to there, along with (next-door) Mildenhall, the KC.135 Tanker base (& general European staging post). The scheme looks okay to me (& goodness knows I've seen enough of the real-deal).

The F.15.E 's are a different ball game - being sprayed up in ' 36118 ' - Gunship Gray overall.
These are the planes that wake me up every week-day mornings, Mon-Fri !!! as we live on the North-West Norfolk coastline DIRECTLY under the Flightpath of these beauties, as they dive down & fly very low on their run in to the Target/N.A.T.O. Bombing/Strafing range at R.A.F. Holbeach, dead opposite where we live - you see 'em in the kitchen or the main living room, or better still in the garden, as they curve round to attack the range - & the house shakes with the roar & sheer power of thier P.W. engines, High or Low !!!!!!!!
