Re: B-2 Crash Video

My condolences to you American taxpayers, that's $1,400,000,000 going up in smoke

Glad that the crew lived to tell the tale though.

Take it out and play with it

And all for a lack of a little pitot heat. I think this falls in to "err is human, but to really screw up, you need a computer."

You can see crop dusters doing 'Cuban 8' along the stretch of Hwy 80 just outside the Sacramento area on any given day.

I use to see thim all the time around the Willows and Woodland area of I-5 heading towards Sacramento but have not seen one in a while for some reason.
It could be the time of day i was driving through there and just missed them i guess.
To bad too i liked seeing them they are great pilots .It's like watching a mini airshow from the highway...

Yeah, those crop-duster pilots could sure pull-off low level aerobatics quite nicely, indeed.

Re: B-2 Crash Video

When you're in a plane like the B-2, you wouldn't be in a rush to eject. With all the sensors they have on that plane, could the ejection system be automatic?

I have heard the B-2 per unit cost being between 2.2 and 2.6 billion. The crew stayed with it as long as they could, I'm sure partly because no one wants to be the first guy to crash a 2.2 billion dollar airplane.
