Nice footage! I think I saw that a long time ago in a history class. Glad you posted it.

I remember that from some where...That P-51 packs a punch....

Great footage! One question, however. This was, if I'm not mistaken, supposed to be all P-51 footage, as far as fighters go. Were 51's ever outfitted with rockets?

Rest assured...P-51s were indeed fitted with rockets towards the end of the war in the Pacific.

The 21st FG in the later stages of the pacific war used Rockets.

And these are the zero-length rocket pods underneath my grandfather's P-51
