George Preddy was......Just the greatest fighter pilot who ever squinted through a gunsight.
He was a complete fighter pilot.......Colonel John C. Meyer Deputy Commander of the 352nd.

You gotta love Top Gun. I was just talking about this on another site. The ejection scene where Goose dies, is actually very possible, according to a Top Gun instructor. I always thought it was B.S. until now.

Thats one of my all time favourite films, I wish I had a dollar for every time I have seen it, it would keep me in diecast for a long time.

Still is my favorite flick eversince I first saw this film back in 1986! I have Tom Cruise's helmet "MAVERICK" copy (see my folder pics) acquired from the San Diego Aerospace museum
as well.

It is a good career move, too. The new Commander of the Pacific Fleet, Adm Robert Willard was in the movie as himself (a TOPGUN instructor) and it is in his biography. He played (and is) Robert "Rat" Willard.
