Re: An interesting V-Plane Vid

That brings back memories Admin, I watched those V birds many times at airshows.
Back then restrictions on displays were a little easier and the pilots could have more fun.
The Vulcans party piece was to take off go into a steep climb and then do a right angle turn.
Very impressive to see I can tell you, to watch a bird that big rotate on its axis was something I dont think I have ever seen before or since.
The bomb bay on the Vulcan is big enough to live in!
Many thanks for that one Admin, cool video.

BTW these birds and their crews had to scrambled and of the ground in under 4 minutes back then. The old 4 minute warning!
Cracks me up when I think back. We were told that as soon as we heard the siren we should unscrew a door from its frame and lean it against a wall and climb under it ready for when the the bomb from Russia hit.
You see you didnt need concrete bunkers just a door propped against a wall. yeah I know ,you figure it out I couldn't!

God Bless America.
