Schilling with Dull Cote

I just got this and was a little unhappy with the finish so I thought I'd take old faithful to it and see. What do you think? It seems to bring out the true/correct color (more at least )
I messed it up a bit and put it on a little thick but I do like the effect.

Re: Schilling with Dull Cote

Great finish parsig. Did you use Testor's Dullcote?

BTW, this model looks familiar.

It should look familiar. Yes, Testors. Seems the color is truer.

Re: Schilling with Dull Cote

That looks soooo much better. My eye had me thinking it was more the color shades were wrong on mine... I do wonder how the "Warbirds" version of this general paint job will look?

Re: Schilling with Dull Cote

Parsig, did you use an airbrush or spray can, and how/what did you mask?
