Re: 1/6 diorama meeting

What are the origins of the vehicles? Plastic kits? Or custom-made?

They're custom made using materials such as resin, fibre glass and metals. You will find a lot of these items made by customizers at several 1/6 Military Forums such as "The Sixth Division" Forums at the EZ board.

The StuGs were built by one of our members using mainly styrofoam. The other vehicles are from various manu´facturers, the Marder was built by Kriegsmaschine, which is no longer in business. Many vehicles are made of resin and it's almost impossible to handle them without breaking anything. We also had a western front diorama using M5 Stuarts, Jeeps and M3 scout cars from 21st century, they are plastic an much more robust. Here are two more pics (better stop viewing this thread any further so you won't say later it was me who drove you into collecting another time- and money-intensive scale! )

Re: 1/6 diorama meeting

Is by anychance Kriegsmaschine - a customizer from Texas, USA? I have a friend from the Philippines who made custom 1/6 scale Marder tanks for that outfit -Kriegsmachine - formerly known as EKLYPS run by Greg Brown from Texas. Just curious?

Jepp, that's the one. Some models are now marketed by other companies and customizers, so will still be available.
