| P-47C from Noemfore/Noemfoor/Noemfoer Friend of mine had this photo in an album from her grandpa. Thought I'd share it. Don't know much about it though.... any input would be interesting I'm sure. Looks like a "C". The Squadron, now designated the 40th Fighter Squadron of the 35th Fighter Group under 5th Air Force, was ordered on 2 June 1942 to Papua and began flying missions over New Guinea. This may be it...based out of MI at least. http://www.40thsquadron.org/organize.html | |||||||||||||
| Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: p-47 from Noemfore That is awsome. It is amazing how many cool paint schemes are out there that have never been touched by model makers or decal makers. | |||||||||||||
| I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five. | ||||||||||||||
