Thumbs up Hogan M-Series new F-22 Raptor pictures

As previously announced, Hogan got rid of almost all panel lines and now the 1/200 Raptor is as smooth as the real one. Another great feature is the pigment: they tried to replicate the sneaky painjob on the real jets, and under different light conditions it does change a bit. It also comes with those huge droptanks used to ferry the stealth fighter across long distances.
The other model in the pictures is a Herpa earlier version. You'll notice it has a darker shade of grey overall, some people think it has far too many panel lines for the small scale. Remember that with macro lenses and high resolution images you get closer to the model than you would with the naked eye, the new Hogan version is to me much better looking.

Nice F22, the Hogan M series seems to be tops in 1/200.
Do Hogan, Gulliver & Herpa ever share molds??

Re: Hogan M-Series new F-22 Raptor pictures

Herpa used some Hogan early molds, therefore, their Superhornet is basically the same as the Hogan one, only the latter are better-researched and more accurate in many ways.
Hogan went solo and modified the F-22 mold for example, and there are many more planned releases, and I mean new airframes, like the Nighthawk, not just liveries! I heard from reliable sources that the next new mold in the works is the Phantom II F-4B and possibly other variants!!

Below is a 1st shot sample of the F-117 from Hogan, ignore the paint, it is only a molding sample, and shows what they're working on at the moment!!

another angle.

Re: Hogan M-Series new F-22 Raptor pictures

These are also nice models, and share the same basic mold with Herpa's previous Superhornets.
The only one that's going to be available though is the VFA102 CAG bird (first from the right), the other 2 are exclusive to Japan, and by exchanging stamps with the Japanese distributor...wish they were all available! Andrew posted pictures of his two new additons: the Royal Maces CAG bird and tha JR Superbug, both yellow and black, both with heavy loads!

I think the CAG s-hornet has been out for a while now -- or does Herpa make the same one?

Thanks for the Raptor photos, b-huj.

I know the JSF F-35 aren't operational yet, but do you know if Hogan is planning to do those in diecast? TY.

No, it's not the same. Hogan is going to release the CAG bird #100, while Herpa released #102 in the 50th anniversary livery, here represented in an earlier form.
To answer the other question, I only know they're working on a Phantom II mold, but have no idea if the Lightning II will be molded (by the way, which one would you base the model? AA-1 or the second VSTOL prototype??, not X-35 for sure, that one was a one-off...and all three are radically different!).
