Re: Salvage Submersible

Hey, nice submersibles, Tedongganas! I'm starting to dig Takara -- I'm working on their skeletonized 1:48 Zero now, and I just ordered the three-piece 1:700 Agano light cruiser on eBay from a seller in Singapore; $32 shipped. I passed on the 1:700 Yamato, though -- just too big!

Please post some photos of the Agano when you get it in.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Will do, CC. In the meantime, BC USA TOYS AND STATIONERY (odd mix) seems to be the U.S. distributor, and its somewhat confusing website has some good pics of Takara's Agano-class and Yamato sectional models.

As far as I can tell, Takara's Agano-class models are available from one (1) U.S. online retailer, mugentoys, and at $17.99 plus S&H the price is right, but that's for a random assortment of three boxes (fore, center and aft sections), and there's no guarantee all three will be of the same cruiser. (Of course, the website mentions, you can always buy three, and they'll try to send you three complete ships...)

There are some real nice close up photos on that site, thanks for posting it.

Folgore, do you have any pics of the 1:48 'skeletonized' Zeke and the 1:700 Yamato?

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!

I haven't finished my Zero yet, but check out the Takara TMW A6M5 Zero 1/48 thread for some good photos. As for the Yamato, the BC USA website (linked above) has some good pics.
