The Italians did some interesting paint schemes on their ships.

| Re: 1/1250 scale ship models 1250Ships, I am brand new to this site. I just received one of these MRC Sea Power models of the USS Vincennes (the ship of which I am a plankowner). It far exceeded my expectations. Are you stocking these? I can't seem to locate them on your web site. Thanks! | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/1250 scale ship models Welcome aboard, 67Rally! Believe it or not, 1250ships is a COLLECTOR, not a dealer! He just has so many, he LOOKS like a dealer. I imagine he'll be able to help direct you to a dealer, however. | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/1250 scale ship models Actually I am a dealer for 1/1250 and 1/1200 models. My site is at the bottom of my posts. I will stock the MRC models but so far the distributor I deal with doesn't have them in stock. I think they are working their way through the food chain. If you are impressed as a plankowner the model must be fairly accurate. I once showed a model of USS Mississippi, the nuclear powered cruiser not the battleship, to someone who had served on her close to 20 years before. He proceeded to explain in detail what was right and wrong with the model- things like hatches and gear being out of position by a few feet. | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/1250 scale ship models
I am amazed that the Germans (and Italians) would identify their ships so readily considering they were used in range of so many Allied aircraft. I guess they were more concerned with their own aircraft recognition mistakes.

| Re: 1/1250 scale ship models 1250, Thanks for the reply. I can sure spot the errors with this model. I chalk up the detail to degradation due to the tiny scale. I built a 1:750 model (of CG-49) several years ago and took the time to add as much definition and exactness. To compare the 1250 scale to the 750 is not fare to the 1250, but they still did a tremendous job with the attention to detail. Besides, molding plastic to that sort of detail is very tough...whether it is injection or roto. Kudus to the Sea Power/MRC folks!

Well.......... As Gomer Pyle would say: Golllllleeeeeee, Sargent Carter......sorry about the bad info, I did NOT know that! I thought that site was just your personal site to share your ships with the world.

No problem- just wanted to correct the record. People should know I sell them so they can judge my posts about them accordingly.
