Mon cher Planenutsfrog! I had never seen or heard of these small warbirds before... They're awsome! And I love small models too!
First question: Why on earth have you done this to me (or rather my wallet)?

Second question: Where can I get them (if I cannot resist the call)?

Talking Re: Superb novelties from the rising sun !

Very sorry for your wallet dear Chascbv (we all know what it is...)

So, the fighters are from the "World Aircraft Collection", IMHO currently the best 1/200 fighters on the market.
The range includes : F14, F15, F4 (JASDF), Su 27, Kawasaki T4, Mitsubishi F1 and F2 A/B.

The electronic warfare YS-11EB and P2J (simply breathtaking !) are made by Hogan.

Have a look on www.aviationmegastore.com and www.top-gun.jp

Question Re: Superb novelties from the rising sun !

Yes indeed, but also incredibly detailed and accurate, better actually than a lot of larger scaled stuff !...

For example, even the cockpits have basic details, not only on WAC fighters but also on Hogan's amazing P2J's, and the printing of all stencils at scale is most impressive !...

IMHO everything on these tiny models says superior craftmanship.

They are not cheap, especially Hogan, but jewels are not supposed to be cheap and I think they ARE little diecast jewels.

Thanks for your insights planenutsfrog. I saw some other small scale stuff on ebay but this looks very good indeed. I don't need another expensive rabbit hole though.

Re: Superb novelties from the rising sun !

Well, Planenutsfrog, I already ordered two of these 1/200 aircraft - one from Herpa, one from WAC, for assessment. I find they are pretty expensive for the scale; for their price they should be able to fly and then go strife spiders around the garden!

Now, what I find irrisistible in this range is that I might finally have a comprehensive air force with fighters, trainers, transporters, tankers, etc. in just one and the same scale; imagine these various types together in the display area, as in some sort of busy air base diorama!
