Re: They should start a Gulliver thread

I second that notion Mr Andrew!!

They are a good size, have fantastic detail and a good price.

Cheers CKS1!

Re: They should start a Gulliver thread

I always thought that Gulliver was a dealer. I never realized that it was a brand name.

Re: They should start a Gulliver thread

Just received pre-order information from one of my suppliers. Looks like Gulliver is going to be priced about the same as Herpa's 1/200 scale fighters here in the US.

In Japan, its like $10-20 cheaper than Herpa. But then maybe Herpa is just expensive over there.

I second that motion too!

I just learned of Gulliver/WAC and Herpa 1/200 warbirds a week ago. I have already ordered two of each for assessment, and have reviewed all pictures I could find on the web. They're awsome models with awsome paint schemes. Gulliver detail seems a tad better, and I think they definitely deserve their own thread here. That will also make this range better known outside Japan, which will boost orders, which will lead Gulliver to release non-Japanese versions of their F-15s, F-4s, etc., not to mention new types... (dream on...)

Wow...that is quite a difference. Unfortunately, the 1/200 Gulliver F-14 & F-15 will retail pretty close to Dragon's 1/72 F-14 & F-15 here in the US.

Re: They should start a Gulliver thread

Very soon we should be seeing the first batch of releases from Hogan M-Series, although they've been producing the Herpa models so far, they're going to launch their own stuff (new liveries and airframes) so why not open two more threads: Gulliver and then Hogan?

Below is a partial list of models set to be released (I am not the source of this information, got it from a DAC. thread). The ONE thing I know from a very reliable source is that they're going to be priced cheaper than anything Herpa has been overcharging us for:

HG6016 China Air Force Su-27UBK "6th Regiment, Suixi AFB"
HG6061 Israel Air Force F-16D "101st Squadron"
HG6023 Vietnam Air Force Su-27UB "370th Air Division"
HG6030 US Air Force F-22A "27th Fighter Squadron, Langley AFB"
HG6009 US Navy F-18F "VFA-103 Jolly Rogers"
HG6078 US Navy F-18E "VFA-27, Naval Air Facility - Japan"
HG6092 US Air Force F-16D "Thunderbirds"

Re: They should start a Gulliver thread

How come they do not make any helicopters?
Just imagine what if these choppers would be released:
UH-1 Huey
UH-60 Blackhawk
AH-64 Apache
AH-1 Cobra
AH-6 "Little Bird"
MI-24 Hind...
...maybe someday...
