Re: Overseas Shipping Watch Out

I ship auto parts where I work sometimes and the USPS and Endicia just updated the forms and info for the 3rd time since the 14th.

Now I can ship to Canada again at a semi reasonable rate.

Last week 2.5 lbs was around $7.80 for Air Post.

Then after the 14th it would only let us do Priority Mail and that was $17.86 for 2.5lbs, now as of 1 hour ago and the 3rd new download we can ship International Air Post and 2.5 lbs runs $11.86.

But still overseas is way way higher than it was, once you got over 2 lbs it is crazy.

Re: Overseas Shipping Watch Out

Yesterday I bought a Witty F/A-18E from TFM for US$24.99 and the postage to New Zealand was US$35.30, mind you I guess that is still better than GBP35.30.

Received my model from TFM today, actual postage was only US$21.70, the charge for puting it in a box was US$13.60!

Thumbs down Re: Overseas Shipping Watch Out

WATCH FOR CANADA POST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished up a trade deal with one of our forum member in New Zealand. The model that I shipped was a

CW F-14 Tom Cat and I made sure that is was packaged up good for a safe trip. The box weighed in a 2.28

kilograms and I was charged a WOPPING $ 73.18 CANADIAN FOR GROUND EXPRESS 4-7 WEEKS !!!!!

Now talk about expensive shipping costs .

Re: Overseas Shipping Watch Out

Some poor bloke in the UK had to pay about $70 CDN for me to ship a Forces of Valor Tiger I to him last December - and that's by lowest priority (ground) that took a whopping three months to get it to him. Yeah, I too am reluctant to ship overseas now considering the high cost of Canada Post.

The guy obviously was either a rip off artist or did not want to send it to you!! Postage from the UK to Aussie should be the same as to NZ. Large Corgi's such as a Lanc or B-17 etc would be between £56 - £64, I have been quoted these figures just recently.

Take it out and play with it

That or the guy is paying to have Prince William deliver it personally on a training flight
