What percentage does the seller actually get when using Paypal? For instance, if A sells to B for $20 and B pays thru Paypal with a charge card, how much does A really get?

It depends on the amount of the item.

In your scenario, A would recieve $19.13 ($0.87 service fee).

It appears that transactions under $100.00 USD are charged a 4.35% fee and items over $100.00 USD come to 4.20%.

thats a good question Bill....something I always had forgotten to equate into any deals....for both ends, kinda pain in the arse, not sure if you get charged if they pay through paypal but not via credit card?

Yea, I figured they had to get a cut. They are in business so I imagine they get a fee whether cash or credit. So, if I want $20, I really need to sell for about $21.

Don't forget listing fee and final value fee. After that, you can talk PP fee. Fun I know. $20 becomes $16 really fast...oh and don't underestimate shipping

I was just looking at selling to members, don't even want to consider that Ebay stuff. Shipping is what really sucks. I could not believe what I just spent getting a couple of boxes. Seems like the shipping is a third to a half of the price of the models that I am selling. I think one of my sisters has a Paypal account, will have to see if she will let me use it. Members seem to be more at ease using Paypal than sending check or Money Order.

Look here for the actual PayPal fees. It depends what kind of account your sister has.
