Exclamation Re: Shipping Cost Shenanegins

Definitely something not right there Raven as I have purchased three heavies from choate76 on Ebay and it has been $25US easch time for USPS to Canada there are unfortuately some who like to skin you on shipping

Yeah, 'choate76' seems to be a square shooter. I bought my Bader Hurricane from him (then I was wised-up by a forum member who informed me Aiken's could have sold it to me for less!) and got a decent break on the shipping to Canada. I think it was $7.00 (+/-). But some of these other guys -- WHOA!! I was going to buy a postcard on a BIN on the Canadian eBay section, and the seller wanted $8.50 USD to ship a $2.00 postcard. What?? I have since found quite a few Canadian eBay sellers gouging on shipping. Sad, because I have now pretty much given up on eBay. It used to be a bit of cost-effective weekend fun.

Yeah -- keep your eyes peeled for the Jolly Roger flying on eBay!

I bought one of my Gmps from choate76, no problems and "AT COST SHIPPING" , good dealer.

I wont buy of those that add extra shipping costs to bump up their profit.

You're right about that, Jim. I've purchased probably three heavies from him, all at outstanding prices. He's one E-bay seller you can't go wrong with.

I've gotten around a dozen planes from Choate 76 also and he is great to deal with! His shipping is reasonable too. I only had one problem with him which involved a 32 scale Sea Hurricane missing the engine cover but he let me keep the plane and sent me another model I had been bidding on for free! Can't beat that...especially after I got Corgi to send me a replacement cover for free.

Jim, are you sure it was 'choate76' or was it 'ingopher/prostar2' from who you bought your GMP?

Prostar 2 Collectibles (ingopher) is, in my opinion, one of the finest eBay vendors with excellent shipping rates and the highest level of integrity. (After I accepted a fair quote for international shipping, he contacted me the next day saying that actual shipping costs were less and that he had refunded me approx. $9 - you don't get more honest than that!)
