The problem with courier services is that they often ding the buyer with service fees. I got hit for $85 (US) last year by UPS on a Corgi Lancaster, which is why I only will buy from sellers that offer USPS as an option now.

I hear that! If I see an eBay Seller or online store who uses UPS only to ship to Canada -- they get bypassed -- and sometimes that can be a real bummer. I have had SO much trouble in the past with UPS messing up delivery times, and seriously gouging on 'broker' fees. It's USPS from the U.S. or nothing now.

I buy most of my stuff in Canada now (when possible), and like to work a lot with Canadian eBay.ca guys mainly because of the shipping issue, so this cross-border thing for me has become almost extinct. (Now after all that, I am patiently waiting for one piece from 'choate76' who is in Westport, CT.)

I'm going thru the same issue, I won a bid for 2 planes on ebay and the seller is in canada. It's been 14 days now
I live in Wisconsin, this should not be a problem.

The parcel is probably going through Toronto or Montreal, it usually takes 4 weeks.

Lucky for me Phantoms shop is 40 mins from me. I was just up there last Thursday and spend another $190.00+ Got a nice big bag full of goodies including the new HM 1/48 light grey Buffalo.
