Star Trek Bandi Enterprise E

Guess you could say I am abit of a star trek fan and are looking to put one in the new cabinet.Because of that I have been looking around at the Bandi version Enterprise E model.I don't really know anything about the manufacturer or other possible manufacturers. The pics I have seen so far have all been fuzzy so I can't really tell what the detail is like.I am looking for a prebuilt model but are unsure of what would be a reasonable price to pay.

If anyone can fill in the holes it would be appreciated.

Re: Star Trek Bandi Enterprise E

I bought mine 6 years ago at the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas Hilton for $75 USD. You might still find this at some online shops if you Google Image Search - Bandai Enterprise-E. If you want a pre-built model of the 'E' and save tons of money I will recommend DST/Art Asylum's very excellent Enterprise-E model, and you can still order it at Amazon Dot Com. This model is actually a few inches longer than the Bandai kit too.
Here's an excellent "kit out of the box" review at Starship Modeller's website of the Bandai Enterprise-E:

This is the DST (Diamond Select Toys) Art Asylum rendition of their Enterprise-E model from the movie Star Trek: Nemesis

Here's somebody's who upgraded the kit below with LED lights!

Upgraded Enterprise-E is BACK

That looks really cool......Knowing me with the amount of time i have on my hands...I would have to get one already built with the lights and all.

Re: Star Trek Bandi Enterprise E

Wow, that picture looks amazing.

mkvb,
Worse comes to worse, if you can't find this brand you could always pick up the Corgi Star Trek models. They are fairly inexpensive, a good size (About the same as a 1:72 scale modern plane?) and look nice on your shelf. (At least I think so.)

Anything for a weird life.

Just to clarify, Corgi only did 3 ships: the Enterprise-D (TV series), Klingon Bird-of-Prey and the classic USS Enterprise 1701. These ships are smaller in size, the Ent-D measures 7" long from bow to stern and is the larger of the other two ships. These are not "full diecasts" as advertised by Corgi, but they are very nice to have for the collection as well.

Re: Star Trek Bandi Enterprise E

Thanks for your help Fly.It has been very helpful.

I read all of the comments and some preveiws via the amazon site and decided to order the DST model over the bandi version as I am a little concerned about the fit problems with Bandi. Not so sure about upgrading the lights either as it will be in the back of the cabinet and not easy to get to. I may well just keep it as is.

Once again many thanks.

I have looked at them and may well go with Enterprise D.The only thing is the size and the fact that some of the other manufacturers are sure hard to beat..

You're welcome, mkvb! I take it you like starships from the Star Trek Universe? Check out this ST Tour link of photos, enjoy!
