Code 3 Star Wars

So I've been wanting the Millennium Falcon now for a couple years....keeping my eye on it. Now that my kiddo is into Star Wars, I thought it was the perfect time for Santa to pick up this awesome piece of diecast. Like most good diecast models, the pictures don't quite do it justice. It is a terrific looking model of one of my all-time favorite movie vehicles. I'm hooked.

Now, I need the X-wing.

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

That Millenium Falcon is awesome; a friend of mine has one. Good luck on the X-Wing, the prices on those are astronomical!

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

Thx for the pictures FlyXWire.

Hmmm for astronomical price I would expect something more detailed. OOps I think I can see the interior from the gunner window position. But paint job wise I think

I've seen better Millennium Falcon(Sorry Mr. Football) but you did say that the pictures don't do it justice. But for your son that would make a wonderful gift. Just make sure he doesn't play with it in the bathtub . I wouldn't mind keeping it for you until Christmas. LOL

I think the best MF I've seen was the copy of the studio model and an MF model kit built by somebody very talented complete with weathering and all.

Then again I'm not a so big fan of Star Wars. Only interested in the Jedi

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

Yes the pictures don't do it justice, the flash washes out a lot of the smaller detail and makes the paint look different. It's actually pretty nicely weathered. Originally, I too wasn't expecting something this good. When you open the box, it's a "Wow" piece.

I think you're talking about the Master Replicas falcon. It's not diecast metal, but it is the pinnacle as far as MF models. Pretty expensive and will only get more expensive in coming years as Corgi/Master Replicas/Code 3 didn't renew the Star Wars license and no more will be built (by Master Replicas) or Code 3.

The Code 3 Falcon is such a superb piece of diecast. Amazing heft, yet it's not so big that you can't fly it around the house if you feel the urge.

For now, she's hiding in her very nicely done Code 3 box, awaiting Christmas day.

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

Picked up the Code 3 X-Wing on E-Bay last night for a relatively decent price, about the same as it originally sold for with shipping. Can't wait to make it the center piece of my Star Wars collection!

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

Did you get this one on the Buy It Now for $300?

I am kicking myself for missing out on it. I want one bad. I kept checking from my office to see if he was going to relist and then had a meeting, sure enough he did when I was in my meeting. Oh well. Congratulations if that was you!

Re: Code 3 Star Wars

Thanks Mr Football.
Not sure if it was the same seller or not. I must have come across it just after he put it up for auction late Saturday night. I think the time remaining said something like 6 days, 23 hours and some odd minutes! Like you, I've been looking for this one for some time. Every time I came across one for sale it was for either the Mark Hamill signature edition or going for way more than I would ever pay for it. I was actually looking to see if anyone had the new Titanium series X-Wing up for pre-sale and just stumbled upon the Code 3 by chance. The only problem is, now I will have to get Darth Vader's TIE fighter to display along with it. The good news is, these can be found just about everywhere for 1/2 to 1/3 of what they originally listed for.
