Re: Found new Titanium - Pegasus (BG)

problem is DA, most of the valuable stuff never seems to even make it to the Shelves in places like Target, (or at least I never see it). I suspect some crafty buggr is keeping them back to sell though on the bay.

Those crafty buggers are called "Scalpers" and they're dime a dozen. Some are really quite crafty indeed, as they develop mutual relationship with some "contacts or informants" from stockrooms of those stores.

Re: Found new Titanium - Pegasus (BG)

Timbo,
Hey there.

It's not that the toys don't get to the floor, its the collectors that come in the door at 9AM every morning looking for the "rare" stuff. I managed a Target for a little while back in 1999 and every morning, there would be one or two guys (usually the same guys) lined up for us to unlock the door. They charged back to the toy dept, searched through the Hot Wheels and whatever else might be popular that year for the limited edition stuff and be out by 9:05.

Yes, we got great childish fun stalling opening up the stores until 2-3 after the hour just to watch them squire. Very immature, I'll admit.

Target has pretty strict rules about skimming through the packages due to collector demand. It might happen, but not more than a couple of times before the crew got fired.

Anything for a weird life.

Getting fired from Target must be one of those traumatic life experiences that rate right up there with divorce and losing a loved one...

Re: Found new Titanium - Pegasus (BG)

Just went to my local target and TrU today to see if I could find any of these new ones.

Not a sausage! Only the same old Darth Maul + Ewok speeder bikes General G's Star Fighter and the Invisible Hand. Don't think I've seen this stock change for the last month.

Ooops!

Re: Found new Titanium - Pegasus (BG)

FINALLY........

Saw these at a Target today. Also, it looks like the prices of these are going down on Ebay. Hopefully that means they are becoming more common/easy-to-get.
