Outta this world ...

In total solidarity with my Sci-Fi enthusiast buddies, I’d like to plug Hasbro's fabulous, sensational little Star Wars diecast models. I got into them about a year ago, and I’m EXTREMELY glad I did.

Take it from me, anybody who loves Star Wars films will go absolutely coo-coo over these diecast miniatures. For pure thrill value, they’re tops: The details are excellent for their size, and the paint jobs rival most anything Corgi and the rest produce. Each comes with its own display stand, plus their bubble containers make for handsome display boxes. I’ve pinned my collection on my wall.

Prices are rising ever higher, so if you’ve got an inkling you’d like to collect a few, don’t wait. Write me and I’ll throw a couple of Vendor URLs your way.

Whatever you do, give ‘em a look-see. They might look toy-like, but in truth they're first-class replicas. You’ll find them at Wal-Mart and Target. They’re extremely cool, believe me.

Hasbro makes tons of 'em (some are really tough to find). These are just a couple of the newer issues ...

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Actually, these really are quite nice, especially for the price. I've been tempted but resisted so far as I just cannot handle yet another collecting thread.

By the way, where did that spinach come from on the X-wing?

Hey Gort, have you any GALOOB Star Trek Micromachines in your collections? These things are fetching very handsome prices like gang-busters on evilBay these days!

Nope, can't say I have flyX. In fact, I didn't know the things existed. Hey, wait a minute ... I take that back. Yeah, come to think about it, I believe I've got a whole set of Star Trek star ships in my attic. Hmmmm .... possibilities ....

Re: Outta this world ...

Gort and friends,
I have to say that I really like these little guys a lot. My favorites are the Battlestar Galactica series they have been coming out with. The only problem is that these seem to show up at Target for about a minute and then they are gone.

Anything for a weird life.

I love these - SciFi Crack! I collected Star Trek MicroMachines, followed by Star Wars, then Star Wars Action Fleet. I really like most of the diecast offerings, but I haven't seen most of those...

It's Dagobah weed! From when Yoda uses the Force to lift Luke's X-wing out of the swamp.

Massive Star Wars fan myself. You can't beat Lego's Star Wars range.

Not sure about these Hasbro ones though, Only the V-wing and X-wing are in authentic colours.
