Any Space 1999 Eagle Fans Here??

If you're like me, you watched Space 1999 because of the Eagles more so than anything else.

Re: Any Space 1999 Eagle Fans Here??

I grew up watching Space 1999 and built the Eagle a long time ago. Can you give a little more info on that sweet looking Eagle? Thanks.

Re: Any Space 1999 Eagle Fans Here??

Used to look forward to watching Space 1999 back in the '70s. I only have one tired Dinky Eagle, would still like a couple of the (smaller) Product Enterprise Eagles if/when I can find room amongst the Spits, Lancs, Forts etc.

I have one of the diecast Eagles. It looks to be approximately 1/72. Pod detaches really nice and bought a set of 10 episodes on dvd. Loved the series and yes the Eagles were what caught my attention. Mine is not a Dinky but a New Product Enterprises version. I think NASA will make something similar for planetary expeditions one day it is very pactical looking.

Thanks for the forum link. I haven't seen the show for about 30 years but remember it fondly. It was the first Science Fiction show that I was really able to lach onto. (I was to young for Star Trek.)

I've picked up a few Dinky Eagles from ebay and the are really nice. Cost a ton, but well worth it.

Re: Any Space 1999 Eagle Fans Here??

The Eagle in the picture is a release from Product Enterprises. It's 1/48th scale, about 23" long and is made of resin. It's a heavy beast, too, and comes with an acrylic display case. It's essentially a slightly modified, assembled and painted version of Replicas Unlimited's 23" resin Eagle model kit from a few years back.

Product Enterprise made 1300 of the plain transporters (pictured) and 200 of the "rescue" Eagles (with the red stripes). The 23" rescue Eagles have sold out but the plain transporters are still available. I special order them for customers from time to time. I also have several versions of PE's 11" Eagles in stock, including the Gift Set, which has the spine mounted boosters, laser tank, and yellow moon buggy.

That is really awesome looking. I've got one or two of the Product Enterprise Eagles, but mine are smaller. Is this a newer line? The ones I have are about a foot long.
