Re: Sci-Fi diecast? Anyone?

I bought the Enterprise, NCC-1701, and am VERY pleased. This is a great, well proportioned model, with a superior finish, excellent color (or colour), and an attractive stand. I have it sitting on top of my computer tower, which in turn sits on top of my desk, and there it will sit, at least until my wife detects signs senility and thinks she can safely remove it. Hopefully, other fleet-yard mates will join it over the next couple months.

The model is massy with a great feel; its well-proportioned shape catches the eye, and it seems to be just the right size for display on desk or shelf.

If you are interested in scifi collectables of any type, I highly recommend this one. It's just "plane" fun to own.

The next assortment from Corgi's "Celebrating 40 years of Star Trek" line of ships will be the Defiant, USS Voyager and Romulan Warbird (I don't know if it's from the classic or next gen show). I setting my sights on the Defiant and Voyager.

Hey JP, Did you go to the Sacramento ST Convention last September?

The highlight of the show for me was when during some ligthhearted banter exchanges between Shatner and Nimoy:

"Forty years, Leonard, 40 years," Shatner said as he stood arm-in-arm with his co-star Nimoy and raised a glass of champagne. "All these people have been with us a long time."

I got lucky and got Shatner and Nimoy's autograph at the opening ceremony of the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas Hilton.

Re: Sci-Fi diecast? Anyone?

I wasn't at the Sac one due to being in Arizona at the time when they had it.
But i was at the Las Vegas one.......That was a blast there i tell ya.
I even got my daughter a signed Grace Lee Witney signed picture a few years back. She was on the first season i think it was.
So yes i'm happy Corgi made these StarTrek diecast ships.

Re: Sci-Fi diecast? Anyone?

Greetings !

l have been hopelessly looking for a Code 3 Mars Rover in 1:10 scale, for a while, now but it seems to be sold out literally everywhere.
Does anyone have a clue as to where it might still be available for sale or hint at how to obtain it ? l'd appreciate, if so.

Kind Regards,
