NFL football here in the USA is the countries most popular and watched sport.
Way ahead of baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. Probably all combined too. Sorry to say, I would rather watch "Little Outhouse on the Prairie" than TV soccer.

I'll be cheering for Celtic as well, and it has a real shot given the geriatric nature of AC Milan offense and defense, but the midfield is top notch helmed by Kaka and Pirlo.

Dear Sergey, you're right, it's tough going for Celtic but your observation about the aging defence of A C Milan is the logistical variable upon which Celtic will pin their hopes. This augurs well for an exciting attacking game!

Dear Mikeb1958, open your mind to the possibilities. You have a game which 99% of the world watches and loves. You have a game in which, if you participate, you have to hone skills which take 20 years to build. You have a game which leaves you breathless with excitement no matter what which side you support.

Then, you have American Football! You have a game which nobody in the world watches ( outside a small part of the USA ). You have a game which can evoke yawns from corpses which have yet to be disinterred. You have a game which hones all the skills of a block of concrete which has been fed hamburgers all its life.

MoMo, like Mike1958B you are too harsh on a game you are not familiar with.

Unlike other uniquely American sports like Baseball, NASCAR, IRL, and to a certain degree Basketball, American Football is the one that is actually watchable.

Unlike soccer, which is a game of improvisation and split second decision making, American Football is a deeply strategic affair, which requires utmost mental concentration from every position played since not only each player has to memorize dozens of plays with multiple varieties of each one, but keep an eye on what the opponent has in store for you (i.e. reading a play).

Because of that complexity, the pace of the game is slow compared to soccer, but it's definitely not a snooze fest, which is baseball, a game which doesn't even require coaching on strategic level outside of physical trainers and scouts.

Only a small of the USA watches??? You have to be kidding! You must have soccer confused with American football, be it college or the pros. I can count the number on one hand the number of people I know that watch soccer, yet everybody watches football! And I prefer 100% Columbian coffee...thank you!
