Thanks all -- I guess I just needed confirmation that I wasn't crazy (though asking for that from this group... hmmm... )

Pappy, we were not confirming that you " are not crazy ". I don't know if anyone can confirm that.

We were just confirming you had nothing to worry about. Isn't it nice to have such good friends.

LOL, good point Sky -- and yes, it is... comforting...

Re: now i've heard it all -- ebay story

Pappy you have nothing to be worried about , you are as sane as the rest of us

You gave a full description of the article and even the number, heck what more does that guy need.
Just reply to the negative feedback the same as you posted here and people will understand your problem.
No way will this affect your future selling.

God Bless America.

Re: now i've heard it all -- ebay story

Well, I don't think there will be a feedback issue now -- I was able to at least convince him that what he has is better than the FM version he was coveting and he's going to keep it. He did advise me to be "more clear" with my auctions in the future, I advised him to read the auction description in the future. As apparently, all he did was read the headline and look at the pic...

I've sold dozens of FM/CDC models the same way and never had an issue before -- ebay is a wacky place.

Wait until he leaves feedback and give a negative anyway! Just kidding Steve....sorta. I hate people who waste your time on Ebay sometimes!!!

Re: now i've heard it all -- ebay story

I think the language/culture barrier is a big issue on Ebay. The few issues I've had have come from sellers/buyers wanting to barter with me to some degree in, to use your word, "jumbled" English. Not only did we have trouble getting our repective points accross, but it seemed NO was not part of their vocabulary and they didn't get why I would refuse an offer rather than counter offer.

Ignorance of what he was buying seems to be this buyer's issue with you Pappy and, as others stated, screw him.

They took that option away. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback, but it looks like there may be a revision to feedback in the works though.
