Been a big wings fan since the mid '80s and it's been great the last 10 years or so. So many changes to the team this year though. No Captain
Shanahan. Last year losing McCarty. Seems like so many new faces.

Now Hasek is back and I hope that's good but the jury is still out.

The Oilers looked very strong tonight. I thought they would suffer after all those free agents left after the Cup run, but they were looking really good. The Sykora/Hemsky/Torres line will be a menace!
Calgary looked alright but the chemistry doesn't look as if it has set yet. Same problem they had last year with not driving hard enough to the net. I'm sure it will come together for them sooner or later.
Can't remember the last time I was this jazzed about a new season. Almost enough to make me change channels during the ball game...
