Battlefield Britain: BoB

Dang it! I was really enjoying this series on PBS. I had no idea the last episode was Battle of Britain, and I missed it last week! I will probably buy the whole series on eBay now. Has anyone seen it? What did I miss?

Re: Battlefield Britain: BoB

I saw this program awhile ago and wasn't impressed. IMO "Spitfire Ace" is a much more comprehensive documentary on the Battle of Britain. It is a 4 part series that pops up on the History Channel or History International every now and then.

Re: Battlefield Britain: BoB

I love Spitfire ace. Really well done and Pete Brothers flys at the end. Wonderful show! The BFB series is very interesting b/c it is filmed on site and takes geography in to account. If I'm not mistaken: Hastings, The Boyne, Naseby, The Armada, etc...are filmed on location (no The Armada is not filmed at the bottom of the Channel) which gives them an interesting twist. In that way they seem like Schama's History of Britain docs. But, the BOB episode has to be done without this and though I liked the father/son team and their shows, this one is just another B- documentary.
