Used to work for Lockheed Support Systems on site at Travis AFB. Was part of a contract field team repairing/replacing the structure surrounding the cockpit windows of C-141Bs.

Last edited by Nimrod48 : 07-30-2007 at 09:55 AM. Reason: addendum
Before moving to Shrewsbury I worked for a company in Cambridge that supplied telemetry equipment to all branches of motor sport including the likes of Ferrari in F1 & Newman-Haas in CART plus Ducati in Moto GP & World Superbike.
They applied the same technology to a Spitfire that was having a major rebuild at Duxford to monitor airframe stress etc.

Thumbs up Re: Membership involvement in production or flying of aircraft

Worked at Generous Dynamanicus for three years as a Logistics Support Engineer, could not even spell Ingineeaar when I started, but was responsible for the spare parts to keep that wonderful little Gatlin Gun of the F-111 firing. I got to sit in the cockpit of several F- 111's, but unfortunately never left the ground. When in AFROTC sat in the pilot set of a B-58, and help prevent a B-52 from losing an engine while do a ground tour of one that was to fly to England in 6 hrs.
If any of this counts, I qualify too.
