The next 1/48 scale bomber.

What are the forum members votes for the next 1/48 scale bomber. I'm leaving out the B-17 B-24 B-25 and B-26 as FM has produced these. Quality issues aside, if we wanted them to do something new, what would it be?

I voted for the Peggy, Betty and Ju 88, because these are the 3 I'd buy right now.

Post Re: The next 1/48 scale bomber.

I would love a Ju88 in 1:48 scale ....the 1:72 Corgi version is OK but the build quality is lagging behind H M so let them bring on a 1:48 version

Re: The next 1/48 scale bomber.

I voted for the Betty, SM-79 and JU-88, but I doubt that Franklin Mint is going to add a 1:48th scale bomber to its line in the near future and I don't expect HM to go in this rather risky direction. I'd much rather see Corgi or HM do a Betty, A-20 and SM-79 in 1:72nd, since Corgi has already given us a JU-88.

Re: The next 1/48 scale bomber.

All are pretty neat choices, but had to go with the SM-79. Just like to see an Italian Trimotor sitting on the shelf.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

The SM-79 was my 1st pick as well. I really like the Italian aircraft, hope HM comes out with the Macchi fighter as promised.
