Re: Any of you collect aviation art?

I was actually considering picking up some aviation prints. Do you have an online seller you'd recommend? I'm partial to the Robert Taylor prints I've seen....

Re: Any of you collect aviation art?

I have a few prints - I generally only buy signed - and would like to add more in the future. I basically like most anything military history and outside of WW2 the Napoleonic Wars and the American Frontier are my favorite areas so my prints cover many eras. I don't have a preferred site but my favorite artist are James Dietz, Nicolas Trudgian, Robert Taylor and JD Challenger.

Talk about an expensive hobby !

I love the stuff! I have about twenty-five prints. No originals and none signed though, sad to say.

Re: Any of you collect aviation art?

I have seen a few prints on the web which I really have taken a liking for but they are always out of reach for my budget.
If you guys know of an inexpensive source af aviation prints then please share with the rest of us.

Re: Any of you collect aviation art?

You guys have some nice stuff!

I prefer to order my stuff through a local gallery rather than off the internet, but I'm sort of a see-before-I-buy kind of person.

Re: Any of you collect aviation art?

I would love to, but Mrs timbo would have something to say about sticking it up in the house.

I do have some space on the wall's of my office though . When Concorde was withdrawn, the BA web shop had some great pencil sketches for sale. I have to say I realy like the simplicity the pencil brings to pictures. I think I got a soft copy off the ship I'll see if I can find them.
