As if Army Infantry isn’t a tough enough existence, take a look at the wildlife!
These are Camel Spiders... Enough said!

Re: As if being Infantry isn't tough enough...

Yeah they only come out at night, and when and if they bite you you'd never know it. They say their saliva has a drug in it that numbs the skin, so he can eat all he wants before you find out. Bad thing is you have a nice big hole in your body after he is done.
But hey, the Infantry isn't for everyone.

Are those things for real? They look like real mean little critters - not to mention that even the camel spider looks a tad dangerous ... .

One sheep to rule them all ...

Re: As if being Infantry isn't tough enough...

I have a buddy that's due back next week from Iraq there and he has sent in these Camel spider pics too.
I told him he better not bring one back with him....Yuck..
After a good night sleep you wake up and see that thing on your leg eating at ya....
I also have heard this eating your flesh is folklore too.
That pic has two of them yucky things.

Spiders generally do not bother me, but...YUUUUCCCCCCKKK! Are they really truly spiders? I didn't know they came that big, and now that I know, I want to forget it as fast as possible!!!
