A run on new models

Man, I was checking out the mule, and some of the newest models are already sold out or backordered!!! A forum member already mentioned the Ritchie F-4, but the Mt Fuji F-15 is now sold out, and the HM Huey is backordered. Must be some deep pockets around somewhere?

They are?

I'll believe it when I see it.

Re: A run on new models

Maybe the Mule is just getting a larger loyal following of people and needs to start ordering more from the get go? Just thinking out loud because I know of several other retailers who have two if not all three of these models still in stock.

Re: A run on new models

Is the Ritchie F-4D a limited edition or is it sold out at the distributor. Since Flying Mule has it listed as ‘sold out’ rather than ‘back ordered’ will we see any more coming soon to the Mule?

I'm sure the Mules monthly sales are helping drive sales, I know I have been buying more often and spending more becuase of the sale qualifing benchmarks.

I’m sure the Mules recent addition of monthly promos are helping drive sales I know I have been submitting order more often and spending more because of the minimum totals needed to qualify for the discounts & free shipping.

Re: A run on new models

I think Martin is the choice for overseas buyers as well because of his willingness to ship to them for reasonable prices.

Some of the guys on the DAF buy from Martin because that fact added to the great X-rate make it cheaper than buying from 5 miles away.

Re: A run on new models

I'm thinking there are some personal diecast budgets whose allocation WAS going to Corgi,........is now going to HM. (Due to all the Corgi delayed/non release dates.)

(As well as stimulus checks.)

Also - possibly.....with rising gas and food prices, folks are deciding to buy now because diecast may not be in their budget in 6 months.

Hmmmmmm.

Just some thoughts.

Wink Re: A run on new models

Heck, I'm an admitted impulse buyer. Just the fact that HM has new models for me to buy and Corgi dosen't has changed my buying habits. I fell into the trap of going beyond 1/72 scale into 1/48 scale just to keep the packages arriving on my doorstep. And at least half of my purchases are from Martin. I don't get any monthly specials, because I can't hold back wait and wind up pre-ordering everything!
